Sometimes all this netbook malarkey can get too much. So how about something a tad more slimline, sleeker and more powerful at a bargain bucket price? That’s what the Advent Altro is aiming for, landing on 24 August at PC World for a cool £600. Read on to find out what you’ll get for your six hundred quid.
The Advent Altro is one sleek looking machine, offering slick, thin style for those who don’t fancy stumping up for a Dell Adamo or MacBook Air. The 21mm frame crams in plenty of slick features, including Windows Vista Home Premium, 3GB of RAM, a 120 GB HDD, Wi–Fi and Bluetooth.
Vista–haters can rest easy in the knowledge that there’s a free upgrade to Windows 7 Premium when the new OS lands later this year. Chuck in an Intel Celeron and a 13.3in screen and you’re looking at a decent, full–specced, netbook alternative.
The Advent Altro is due to land on 24 August. Well worth hunting down if you’re hurting from all this credit crunch gubbins but fancy some new gadget action.
