Good Thursday to you! You’ve missed tons you know. All the tech news. Gadgetty happenings. The world’s moved on a lot! Don’t worry though, we’ve rounded it all up into a tasty Techie Breakie. Tuck in!
Fancy getting your hands on an Xbox 360? Soon you could have it at a “new lower price!” At least, if the latest rumours are to be believed. Catalogues have been spotted in the US, due for release on August 30th, listing the Xbox 360 with an all-new discount.
The Xbox 360 Elite is shown in the catalogue at $299.99 (£180). The Elite, which is black in colour and packs a 120GB hard disk, is currently priced at around $399.99 (£245), so if true that’s quite a bulky Xbox price cut.
More Microsoft news, and the rumours were true: Microsoft and Nokia have just confirmed a major league team-up that’ll see the two tech giants working together to bring proper Microsoft Office Mobile software to Nokia’s range of Symbian smartphones. It’s a strange, but important move. Microsoft appears to be throwing Symbian a bone, while pushing its own Windows Mobile system at the same time. Very odd, but very good news for anyone with one of Nokia’s business blowers.
And then there’s the obligatory Apple rumour. But this ones a doozie. A restaurant owner has claimed Apple has hired his snack-shack (offering “honest food with a twist”) to film a new TV ad for a mystery product. Normally, we’d wave it away as speculation, but last year the company shut down its New York City store in order to film the commercial for the iPhone 3G, so it’s not too far fetched.
Which product is it? All eyes are on the mythical Apple Tablet. Either that or a new range of Mac Microwave Dinners For One.
