With the level of chat about an Apple tablet getting louder than a scally slanging match, it seems like a nailed–on certainty that Steve Jobs is going to tout something like the much–vaunted iProd very soon indeed. And now two new videos claiming to show the Apple tablet in action have been unearthed. Read on and give your eyes a treat.
The Apple tablet in the first video sure looks like the real thing. The short clip shows a user touching the screen and firing up Safari, with links to the App Store and other extras all shown in an OS X–like dock down the bottom.
What is weird though is the extra hardware being used down the front. Forum users over at MacRumors reckon this is actually the dev kit. What is clear is that this looks very much like an Apple tablet.
Another clip, which you can see down below, shows a similar UI and a nice shot of the Apple tablet being given a good old prod to boot.
A release date for the Apple tablet has been pencilled in for September, when Cupertino tends to hold its annual iPod–jamboree. One analyst, who claims to have had a play with the device they dub iProd, says it’ll be hitting shelves before “the holidays.”
