guitar-hero-5Guitar Hero games on the Wii have always had one major issue to contend with: the console’s lack of decent built-in storage. This means one of Guitar Hero’s major draws – the ability to download lots and lots of extra tracks to thrash along to – becomes a bit of an issue. But that’ll all change when Guitar Hero 5 launches…

Guitar Hero 5 will be the first ever Wii game able to access content on SDHC cards, as well as boot straight off them – which means easier downloads and quicker loading times.

Also, the fact that SDHC cards current go up to 32GB in capacity means you’ll never run out of space to store those DLC tracks on. You should be able to fit 800 or so songs on a single 32GB card – which we reckon is more space than you’ll ever need.

Guitar Hero 5 developer Vicarious Visions has also added in a Rock Archive feature, which allows you to manage the data on SD or SDHC cards, shifting files around and so on all from within the game.
