Sony will unleash its plans for the PS3 Video Store on this side of the pond next week. That’s according to a top Sony exec, who says all the info will be officially unveiled at the Big S’s press conference at Gamescom on 18 August. Read on and we’ll dose you up with the details.
Sony’s PS3 Video Store is already doing brisk business over in the US. But PS3 owners here in the UK and the rest of Europe have had to watch on while American fans gorge themselves on glorious vids.
But the wait is nearly over. European PlayStation Store manager Angela Madronero has said a full statement will be made next week, letting us know exactly how much we’ll need to fork out and just what Sony’s plans are to kick Microsoft’s back side when it comes to VOD.
PS3 Slim: cheap and yours next month
The announcement will be part of Sony’s pre–Gamescom press conference on 18 August. Hopefully the PS3 Video Store will be a starter before the main course: the much–rumoured PS3 Slim.
