sonysserieswalkmanWe had our first glimpse of the new Sony S-Series Walkman last month, and now another leak has fed though some spec info. Read on for the skinny on Sony’s next iPod nano-battler.

According to French retailer Materiel.net, the refreshed Sony S-Series Walkman will feature a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and come in 8GB and 16GB flavours. There are built-in stereo speakers, plus a kickstand so you can prop the player on your desktop while it pumps out the latest “club bangers”.

There’s room for an FM radio, plus support for MP3, WMA and AAC audio files and H.264, WMV and MP4 (at 30fps) on the video front. And the battery life looks particularly impressive: 42 hours for audio playback; and 6.4 hours for video playback.

We were expecting Sony to drop more info on the Sony S-Series Walkman at IFA in early September – but given this apparently accurate leak, perhaps they’ll give up the goods a little sooner.
