Now here’s something to tickle your Friday fancy. A new Nokia 5800 ad has thrown up plans for a Nokia Video Store, letting you grab clips while you’re on the move. And that could really put Nokia back in the frame in their increasingly tough battle to beat down the iPhone. Read on for all the leaky gossip.
The Nokia Video Store is coming. A clip spotted on YouTube shows some carefree trendy types loading up their Nokia 5800 with the latest episode of 24. The download store appears on their PC, before they sideload Jack Bauer onto their blower and hit the road.
The ad does, however, go on to claim that you’ll be able to experience the Nokia Video Store “on the go.” Whether that means you’ll be able to download movies, TV shows and music clips over 3G remains to be seen. But if Nok wants to take down Apple, it’s going to need to make over–the–air vids a big part if its plans.
