We first glimpsed the iRiver E200 PMP a few weeks ago via some leaked snaps – and now the aluminium-bodied followup to the E100 has been given the official rubber stamp.
According to the iRiver website, the iRiver E200 features a 2.8-inch LED display with a 320 x 240 resolution. It supports a range of file formats that puts the iPod to shame: MP3, WMA, FLAC, OGG, ASF on the audio front; MPEG-4, WMV, XviD, RM and RMVB on the video front; and JPEG, PNG, BMP and GIF on the image front. Plus you get an FM tuner and a 1W built-in speaker.
Versions are available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities, and memory can be boosted by up to 8GB via microSD card.
We don’t have pricing or release date deets on the iRiver E200 yet, but on the first point we’d be very surprised if it wasn’t more affordable than the equivalent iPod nano models. We’ll keep you informed of any developments.

For the price you can’t beat it!! I wouldn’t say it was made out of the highest quality but it’s still made well!!
I don’t want to get the 4Gb and 8 GB. I’m now waiting for the 16GB model to be available!
