Hi–def 720p video is also on board, but that’s where the two dinky peepers split. The Cyber-shot WX1 touts a Sony ‘G lens’ with 5x optical zoo, and 24mm wide angle. Meanwhile the TX1 packs in a Carl Zeiss 4x optical zoom and 3in touchscreen round the back, with a sleek new interface.

The TX1 will roll up clad in grey, silver, blue, gold or pink while the WX1 will land in black, silver and gold. Each one will play nice with Sony’s new Party Shot accessory too and both are due to drop in September. Full pricing is coming soon.
