Sony Party–shot

Like the look of those new Sony Cyber–shots do you? Well how about getting a little pal to take all your snaps while you get tucked into the sauce with your pals? That’s what the new Sony Party–shot is offering and it’s ideal if you’re prone to dropping your neat new snapper. Read on to see just how this little blighter works.

The Sony Party–shot is a clever little idea. The new dock will take care of the TX1 and WX1 Cyber-shots, acting like a robotic snapper when you’re too boozed or just too lazy to take pics.

As soon as you’ve slapped your camera in, it’ll whir away and start taking shots of you and your pals. And we’re not talking the poorly composed drivel you’re likely to take after a few ales. The Sony Party–shot will automatically adjust and zoom and even use the Face Detection and Smile Shutter to make sure everything looks perfect.

Sony says it wants it to be your “personal photographer.” Frankly, we think it would scare you half to death if you’re not quite compus, but it’s a novel idea and one we’re certainly willing to get on board with.

The Sony Party–shot is due to land at the same time as the Cyber–shot TX1 and WX1 so keep an eye out for it at parties. You never know when you’ll be papped.

Out September | £TBC | Sony
