Pentax has rolled out a trio of compact cameras Stateside, including a semi-rugged waterproof model dubbed the Pentax Option WS80. This hardy 10MP snapper can be dipped into up to 5 feet of H2O without protest – but it also comes with a wealth of features including 720p HD video at 30fps, anti-shake and face detection.
Pentax also announced the Pentax Optio E80 and Pentax Optio P80, a pair of rather more conventional cameras. The E80 is an entry-level model with 10MP, 3x zoom and 720p video – the latter only at 15fps. The E80 ups the stakes with 12MP, 4x zoom and 720p at 30fps.
No UK pricing or release dates have been confirmed, but all three cameras will hit the US next month.
