BlackBerry fans, prepare to pay special attention. We’ve just got our hands on the new BlackBerry Curve 8520. It’s a basic BlackBerry, but one that’s designed with RIM’s core skills at heart. The Curve 8520 uses an all-new trackpad instead of a clunky old trackball. It’s surprisingly easy on the thumbs. Take a peep at our unboxing photos and you’ll see what we mean.
Weeks of speculation also ended today, as Sony officially announced the new Sony Reader Pocket and Sony Reader Touch. The Reader Pocket will tote a 5–inch screen, 512MB on on–board storage which won’t be expandable, but at £120 it’s going to fly off the shelves.
Meanwhile, the Sony Reader Touch will squeeze in a 6–inch touchscreen, 512MB of memory which can be pumped up by SD and an Oxford English Dictionary will come pre-installed.
