codwowWhile the Rightmove iPhone app appeals to our tragically grown up selves, word of a new Call of Duty iPhone app has got our inner–gamer all het up. The idea is to give fans who already own and love the Call of Duty: World at War to get the latest news and updates direct to their Apple blower. Read on and see what’ll be served up on your iPhone.

The new Call of Duty iPhone app is a neat idea. Definitely one for the hardcore fraternity, it lets you stay bang up–to–date with what’s going down on CoD World At War. Activision says you’ll be able to track your own stats including win/lose record, performance tracking and link up with friends over the web.

This is all as long as you have a linked account on CoDWoW.com. But both PS3 and Xbox 360 punters are welcome, so at least there’s no fanboy ranting to be done here.

Activision has also said you’ll get access to the latest news and blogs about the game, although it hasn’t said whether it’ll offer up news about Modern Warfare 2’s somewhat optimistic price point.
