O2 might still crow about its monogamous love–in with Apple. But it seems T–Mobile is having a bit on the side with the iPhone. T–Mobile and Orange have already been at the centre of chat about the aging iPhone 3G, with both networks set to ply Apple’s wares later in 2009. But T–Mobile just can’t help itself. It’s already started importing unlocked iPhones, handing over a limited number to high–paying punters who threaten to do one.
That means to lay your mitts on a T–Mobile iPhone 3G, you’ll need to be spending a colossal £75 a month and speak to the people who handle the company’s wannabe defectors. Investigations have shown only 150 iPhones aweek are up for grabs, with 50 call centre types allowed to hand over three each over seven days.
iPhone 3G hitting T–Mobile, Orange?
It seems a strange way to get the iPhone out of the door, especially as T–Mobile is already sells the iPhone in Germany. One thing is for sure. If you’re paying that much and are that desperate for an iPhone, surely you’d grab an iPhone 3GS and be done with it instead?
