Techie BreakieIf you’re slumped over at your desk wondering where the weekend went, we’ve got just the sauce to get you wide awake and ready for the grind ahead: all the latest tech news, caught, compiled and condensed for you right here in your techie breakie!

Word of several leaked gadgets slipped, with news that the CrunchPad internet tablet is due this year (But will it be before the Apple tablet?) and evidence of two new Sony e-readers on the way.

On the official front, LG outed an incredibly gorgeous new flatscreen, the SL80, and Virgin Media announced it was hooking up with Channel 4 to show its HD content, while in mobile, two hackers came clean about a smartphone vulnerability that could be exploited by dodgy text messages.

Sticking with pocket gadgets, we caught sight of the first Android PMP, the Creative Zii Egg, on video in the wild, and finally in gaming, the retro revival of Monkey Island continues, this time on the Wii, and Nintendo’s issued a DSi update that blocks pirate cartridges.
