With a September launch date mooted, it’s not long now until Apple’s OS X Snow Leopard update (aka Mac OS X 10.6) prowls onto the scene – in fact, over at the US Amazon site it’s already up for pre-order.
Listed as $29 (with free Super Saver Shipping, natch) for a single upgrade, $49 for a five-user family pack and $499 for the server edition, Snow Leopard is also available in a “Mac Box Set” along with iWork and iLife. This will cost US residents $169, or $229 for the five-user family pack. Again, all are available for pre-order.
We’ve checked the UK Amazon site to see what’s crackin’ on this side of the pond, but there’s no movement on the Snow Leopard front: all we’re seeing is the placeholder page bearing the coldly mocking legend, “Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available”. Boo! We’ll keep a beady eye fixed on it and let you know when that changes.
