After Office 2010 and Microsoft’s grab for Yahoo!’s search engine, Google is firing back with a series of ads to tempt business types to “Go Google.” Read on to find out all the juicy details.

Google has decided to take Apple’s approach to baiting Microsoft, going all out in its attempts to paint Microsoft as outdated  and decidedly old–school. Its new “Go Google” campaign, which has just kicked off in the States, is trying to tempt punters with Google Apps, showing, “how others have switched from Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Notes to Google Apps.”

Its case is pretty simple: using Microsoft costs you money and causes IT headaches. Getting stuck into the likes of Google Docs means it’s all managed by the Big G, causing you fewer worries.

The campaign is due to run for a month offering new tips daily on how you can use Google Apps to do the same stuff Microsoft office does. If this is already getting started, imagine how big the battle will be when Google Chrome OS launches next year.

You can count on Microsoft firing back with an Office 2010–based ad soon. But that means plenty of corporate mud–slinging to keep you entertained.
