It seems this Apple tablet really is being prepped for September. On top of a welter of rumours, one analyst now claims he’s had the first hands–on with Cupertino’s revolutionary device. He says it’ll be outed in September, before strutting onto shelves by November. Want to know what he makes of the Apple tablet? Then keep reading.
Talk of an Apple tablet has grown from idle speculation into a chaotic scramble for details. And after plans for a 10–inch, iPod–like device leaked out, now an analyst, the scourge of Apple’s top–secret inner sanctum, says he’s had a play with one.
Apple tablet launch brought forward
He reckons that the “slate–style ” Apple tablet is just waiting for Steve Jobs’ final blessing and will offer a raft of multimedia features, notably HD video. This, he says, is, “…better than the average movie experience when you hold this thing in your hands.”
Apparently, it will cost between £420 and £480 when it launches in November. These prices seem remarkably low for what we’re talking about here: a first–gen Apple tablet looking to destroy netbooks which Apple has, in the past, slapped down as “slow and old.” While low prices would help, it’s just not Apple’s style.
Other reports also suggest Jobs and co are readying to load software up onto the Apple table via the App Store. That would make sense, not to mention keep those costs right down.
