The Amazon Kindle eBook range could be headed to British shelves shortly: a new report says Amazon is close to brokering a deal with mobile operator on this side of the pond to bring the e-reader and over the air downloads from the Kindle Store to the UK!

Sharp may be working hard stuffing LEDs inside its latest LCD flatscreen tellies, but if you were holding out for one with Aquos Net widgets or future net-connected features, you might want to look elsewhere. That or up sticks and move abroad: Sharp just told us there are no plans for web TVs here in the UK.
