UPDATE: The 2TB Time Capsule is now on sale on the UK Apple Store for £379.99.
Apple’s just given its Time Capsule wireless backup box for Macs a bumper upgrade, doubling the storage space inside to an enormous 2TB, as rumoured earlier this year.
Apple last update the Time Capsule back in the Spring, adding MobileMe access and dual band Wi-Fi so your guests could hop on without snooping around on your network. Now though, Apple’s just doubled the hard drive space on the high-end Time Capsule to two whole terabytes. That’s enough space to stash the contents of up to 12 13-inch MacBook Pros, or 4 maxed out 500GB 17-inchers.

Strangely, the new Apple Time Capsule is only available on the US store right now, but expect that to change shortly. There’s been no price increase stateside, only the phasing out of the 500GB Time Capsule, so we’re hoping there won’t be a price hike for it when it lands here.
