Remember the Nokia N97 Mini? You know, the one a Vodafone employee blabbed about last month? Well, it seems the loquacious young chap was spot on. Leaks shots of the N97 Mini have landed online, showing a pared down version of Nokia’s latest, greatest, the N97. So what’s the deal? And when can you lay your tender gadget–loving hands on one? Read on and we’ll give you the full skinny.
Vodafone was quick to remove any reference to a Nokia N97 Mini when an insider said the mobile network would be offering one “soon.” And it seems it really did have cause to be coy, with new spy shots showing the N97 Mini sitting next to its heftier older brother.
So what’s the difference? Well, aside from a smaller bod’ and touchscreen, the N97 Mini has no D–pad down the left and that 32GB has been stripped back to 8GB. Although we don’t doubt that you’ll be able to give this a bump via microSD.
Sadly there’s no word on when you’ll be able to comer over all friendly with the N97 Mini. Surely though, it can’t be long before Nokia treads on Apple’s toes and tries to grab punters who want a top–end phone without making their bank balance resemble a barren, financial wasteland.
