Forget the Google Android–toting Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 for one darn minute. Because its Windows Mobile bro, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, has just been caught doing its thing on video. Keep reading and take a cheeky peek at the successor to the killer X1 now.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 was mooted way back in April. But since then it’s been all about the Android–amazingness found on the soon–to–be–official X3. The clip appears to show the Xperia X2 rocking Windows Mobile 6.5, with that honeycomb UI very much in evidence.

Internet Explorer Mobile is clearly on board the Xperia X2 too. Whether this means Opera, which came as part of the deal with the Xperia X1, is absent is unclear, but that’d be a crying shame for mobile web addicts everywhere.
Sadly, the clip offers no glimpse of the rear of the phone, so it’s still not obvious if the Xperia X2 will tote an 8MP camera. Here’s hoping.
