We got to grips with the BlackBerry Curve 8520, RIM’s latest entry level email machine, yesterday, but if all those juicy shots weren’t enough for you, never fear: we’ve got a hands-on video to walk you through too. Read on to see the new ‘Berry in action.
Let’s get the deficiencies out of the way first: the BlackBerry Curve 8520′s QVGA screen is two thousand and late, there’s no 3G and the camera is an iPhone 3G-level 2 megapixeller. If you can overlook all that though, the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is RIM’s best bargain of a blower yet. It still shoves your email on to you instantly, it still runs the clever BlackBerry OS and you can play any media any other BlackBerries can handles. But at £25 a month on contract with no price tag upfront it won’t cost you a pound of flesh every few weeks.
BlackBerry Curve 8520 hands-on photos!
What the video shows up close is the brand new optical trackpad on the BlackBerry Curve 8520: it feels unnatural first to have nothing moving underneath your stubby digits, but after a few minutes practice you’ll be rolling around and telling people to take their thoughts “offline” in emails full of business jargon no problem.
The BlackBerry Curve 8520 is out on both contract and pay as you go next month, but you can see what to expect right now by hitting up that there play button.
