Samsung S9110The Samsung S9110 watchphone had us all primed to fork over the requisite readies and look like numpties while we blathered into our wrists. But it seems us Brits are being kept away from the futuristic fun, with Samsung saying the S9110 won’t be doing its thing on these shores. Read on to see just what the Koreans have got to say for themselves.

Yesterday all the talk was about the Samsung S9110 watchphone slapping down its pricier, less savvy LG GD910 rival. But sadly that’s a battle that’ll only be kicking off on the other side of the channel with Samsung confirming us Brits would not be getting a slice of the action, at least for now.

Officially, Samsung is saying that the S9110 won’t hit the UK for “the foreseeable future.” Clearly it’s panicked that a £389 watchphone won’t do the business here in Blighty. It’s a fair point, but with LG’s GD910 costing a whacking £1,000 when it launches on Orange next month, surely it would be shift a decent number.

Samsung’s S9110 packs tech that some regular phones still struggle with. We’re talking Outlook support, Bluetooth 2.1 and an MP3 player. Here’s hoping it won’t be long until you can pop down to your local mobile emporium and nab one for yourself.
