So it’s good to know Rockstar is on the case with its next installment of Liberty City–based downloadable mayhem. The Ballad of Gay Tony has been known about for a while, but now it’s been dated for 29 October. Read on to find out how you can lay your hands on your next GTA IV hit.

GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony is all primed and ready to go. Rockstar has said you can expect to grab the second lot of downloadable content from 29 October. Once again this is an Xbox 360 exclusive, with PS3 punters being kept in the cold.

The Ballad of Gay Tony will see you play as Luis Lopez, working for club impresario Gay Tony. We’re promised that means fighting for loyalty with family friends. Hopefully that’ll lead to excessive firefights, hitting missions with GTA IV’s put upon hero Niko Bellic and making occasional trips to the strip joint.

You’ll need 1,600 MS points (£13.60) to get involved via Xbox Live. Rockstar is also planning to release Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City on disc, which will pack in The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and The Damned. That’ll cost $39.99 in the States. You can no doubt expect that dollar sign to become a pound sign when it hits the streets in the UK.

    @St0rmBr1nger – My understanding of it as that Sony will get the DLC later next year. If I remember rightly a SCEA exec said that was the case. Sure Sony bid for it, but not enough. That’s the nature of the business. Bet it’ll look ace on PS3 when it does arrive.

    Meh, not that bothered anyay, everyone has moved on since GTA IV was released, and DLC can’t save it. There are simply too many great PS3 exclusives, to bother with tired multi-plat franchises.

    Stormbringer talks shit the only ps3 exclusives that are decent is ffv13 and uncharted2 the rest arnt that great compared to 360 line up, also with every update the psn gets more like xbox with its ‘reality show’ for the network…. PS3 fail

    Recently Microsoft has given (indefinitley loaned) Writers, Bloggers, Testers etc a brand spanking new top of the range dell laptop loaded with that piss poor OS Windows 7 as they want them to put in a good word for it. Thats just what they do, i believe bill gates calls it ‘business’. They cast a hook out with alot of money on the end and wait for companys to bite. Thats why PS3 Punters won’t be recieving Liberty City Chapters aka. ballad of gay tony and the lost and damned. And we just have to bend over and take it to brown town, to be completely honest and i think the majority will agree here. IT SUCKS…..
