forum-buzz6The iPhone may not have been intended as a gaming platform, but with the number of time killers in the App Store you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Monkey Island is the latest retro game remake to hit, but which would be your dream game of yestayear to take with you and play on go? The Electricpig Forum is awash with nostalgia.

Coming in early with Lemmings 2 is our very own Ben Sillis, who reckons it could work well on the touchscreen – technology that no doubt seemed as far off as flying cars way back in 1993 when it was originally released.

Electricpig editor James Holland would like to see all the early LucasArts titles ported over, but questions whether the iPhone is up to Grim Fandango.

Ben reckons the iPhone 3GS might just be up to the job, and for that title he’d be willing to see the App Store split come sooner rather than later if that’s the case.

Making full use of the accelerometer on board the iPhone, James would also like to see Magic Carpet gracing the touchscreen sometime soon.

It’s not all over yet – there’s still time to chip in and relive your early gaming memories. For all things acceptable in the 80s, hit up the Forum right now.

well, i dont get those comparisons,
I remember my father having a touchscreen watch w/ calculator (for around $30), back in 1990…

and flying cars are history now, they were in US for a while back in early 50s…it did not work out good though….

    anyway,
stay in peace and play hard
