Oops. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 smartphone stuffed with a beautiful new version of Android we spotted last week has just been put up for pre-order already, before Sony Ericsson could even confirm that it’s for real. Want to know what it’s packing? Read on and find out.
We glimpsed Sony Ericsson’s stunning Android “Rachael” UI last week, and now the specs are out for the phone it’ll be fueling: the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3. And where did they pop up? Expansys, of course, the purveyor of all things that don’t officially exist yet.

What’s to get excited about? The Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 takes its cue more from the Sony Ericsson Satio and Aino than the X1 and upcoming X2: there’s no physical keyboard, so you’ll be typing on the whopping 4-inch, 800×400 screen. There’s an 8MP camera, potentially the best yet for an Android blower thanks to an LED flash, and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 also fits in HSDPA, GPS, Wi-Fi, microSD and VGA video recording. We were all over the HTC Hero, but this could be even better.
Surprisingly for Expansys, it hasn’t pulled a price or release date out of thin air for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 but with so many Sony Ericsson leaks of late an official outing can’t be far off.
