Microsoft outlined its plans for a tarted up Xbox Live last week. While those of you craving Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm will have to wait, you can still sign up early to get involved with the rejigged offering. All you need to do is answer a few questions and you’ll be hosting virtual movie parties in no time at all. Keep reading to find out how.
Ok, the sparkly new Xbox Live might not pack the social networking goodies shown off at E3 (they’re coming in the Autumn, apparently) but the latest upgrade can be nabbed now if you’re willing to get involved.
New Xbox Experience update detailed
All you need to do is head over to the Microsoft Connect site, tap in your Windows Live ID and fill out a survey. Then it’s just a case of giving over your gamertag and Xbox ID. Hardly taxing, is it?
So what can you expect once that’s out of the way? Well, those aforementioned movie parties, a tweaked friends channel, a new games rating system and veteran stamps for those of you who spend far too much time playing games.
The full release isn’t due until next month, and with the Big M only after “a few thousand” guinea pigs, you’d better get in quick.
