Asus T91Just two weeks ago, Asus’ Eee PC T101 was all set for its UK debut at the end of August. But now the swivel screen netbook–cum–tablet has been held back, with reports coming out of Taiwan suggesting the T91′s bigger brother might not ever get out of the warehouse. The Eee PC T101 was one of CES 2009′s hottest picks. But having been primed for a June unveiling, Asus slipped its release back to August. And Digitimes is now saying it’ll be out in September “at the earliest”.

However, insiders are even suggesting that it all comes down to how the Eee PC T91, the T101′s 9–inch swivel sibling, sells. If it doesn’t do the business, then you can kiss goodbye to your plans to land a T101.

There’s no doubting the T101 has some skills that’d set you well apart from the crowd. But with the Eee PC T91 costing a whacking £450, lord knows how much a T101 would cost. Punters might prefer stumping up for Asus’ Eee PC Seashell 1005HA instead.
