Using Google Street View to snoop around streets you know better than your own missus is a classic time–wasting tactic. But how about having a peek at somewhere a tad more famous than your own gaff? Like Coronation Street? ITV has had the Big G’s Street View motor down its most famous street, with plans to stick the results on Corrie’s official website.
Google Street View has been a subject of much pub–based chatter since it landed here earlier this year. And we’re sure Rovers regulars will be trading in their regulation gossip thanks to the Street View car heading to Weatherfield today. ITV has just revamped the Coronation Street website and it’s all part of letting you have a gander at what goes down on your favourite soap.
You’ll be able to peer into the Rovers Return, keep an eye on The Kabin and even have a squizz at the local garage too. Whether Kevin Webster’s cheating mug will be blurred out remains unclear at this time.
We’re hoping Coronation Street’s ever–imagintiive script writers come up with a way of writing Google’s Street View car into the show. Norris will doubtless have his tuppence worth when he sees that camera having a nose about in front of his terraced house.
