The Sony VAIO W had us all stunned when it was unveiled last week, and not just because Sony turned on its word and made a netbook, but also because it’s one of the most stylish we’ve ever clapped eyes on. We’ve just got hands-on with the gorgeous micro machine, so read on to see if it’s vamonos for the VAIO P.
A glance at the spec list for the Sony VAIO W might not hint at gadget greatness: it’s packing the same old 160 GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM and Atom N280 processor we’ve seen many times before. But toying with the Sony VAIO W up close, it’s certainly one of the most glamourous models on the market.
Everything from the lid to the cross stitched trackpad on the Sony VAIO W screams style, and leaves the Eee PC Seashell range looking, well, washed up. We’re particularly fond of the island keyboard, similar to the one on the Asus Eee PC 1000HE, but with a metallic look to it.
Of course, that chic comes at a cost: the Sony VAIO W will set you back a steep £450 or so when it ships from next month. Have a think if that eye catching case is worth the extra dough while you graze on our hands-on gallery right here!
Out August | £450 | Sony
