Project NatalProject Natal is heading to Windows. That’s a cold, hard fact, straight from the mouth of Bill Gates. Microsoft’s elder statesman has said the revolutionary Xbox controller is coming to a PC near you for some cool, spreadsheet–based action. Keep reading to find out just how Project Natal will play nice on your desktop.

There’s no doubting Project Natal’s wow factor. Smashing balls, driving cars and flicking through Facebook pages sans controller is stunning. But now Bill Gates says Natal will be good–to–go in your office too.

Speaking with CNET, Gates let slip that Project Natal’s cam would be used for, “…media consumption as a whole and … interacting in terms of meetings, and collaboration, and communication.”

Xbox Project Natal – see it in action, in video!

Ok, he’s being coy, but that certainly sounds way more fun than sitting in a conference call nattering about monthly cost cutting measures. Getting up and throwing your arms about using Natal while you show off your financial findings will be way more fun and keep you fit.

Project Natal isn’t due on the Xbox 360 until next year. So it’s unlikely to make its Windows debut until then. Here’s hoping it’s as cool as its console–based cousin.

Another reason to not own an Xbox.

Just get a PS3 and a PC, and you’re covered..

in a few years just the Project Naval camera could be enough, maybe you won’t even need a screen (tv? oled?), and probably we won’t even need a pc or a console. We are the controllers now, sooner or later we will be the cpu too.. :)
