Microsoft’s big announcement came last night – though not before leaking out online – and as expected, it was Office 2010, with web applications on the way. Can Office Web kill Google Docs? Redmond wasn’t done though, as it then went on to drop word of a music streaming service to rival Spotify, possibly out within weeks.

Elsewhere on the web, Google added My Location to the desktop Google Maps, and LG rolled out its mobile application store. Staying with phones, Shazam is out now for the BlackBerry Storm, and O2 is offering free Twittering by text to customers.

Finally, in computing, Vodafone‘s selling a 3G-friendly Samsung NC10 netbook, and rumour came from the East that the fabled Apple netbook is out later this year.
