My Samsung’s hard at it today. With the Samsung HMX–U10 pocket camcorder already unleashed, it’s now turned its attentions to amateur snappers, with the slick new Samsung PL55 compact camera. Want to know if it can turn you into a Magnum member? Best read on.
The Samsung PL55 crams in enough features for anyone after making their first foray into the vast world of digital cameras. It comes with an ample 12–megapixel sensor, as well as a neat 35mm lens with 5x optical zoom.
There are a plentiful 11 shooting modes on the PL55, so whether your in the middle of nowhere taking epic landscape shots, or just down your local dive taking snaps of scallies off their bonce on tropical Reef, the PL55′s got it covered.
There’s a dedicated movie mode on the PL55, but sadly it’s not HD. You’ll need to nab the HMX–U10 if you’re after some of that action. You can grab it for a mere £149.99 from August in black, silver, red and blue.
The PL55 comes hot on the heels of the entry level Samsung ES17 compact, clocking in at a recession proof £89.
