Samsung U10Once upon a time, the Flip and Creative Vado ruled supreme. But now every big player wants in on the compact camcorder action. And the Samsung HMX–U10 is the latest, with full HD and a 10–megapixel stills shooter to boot. Come on in and see just how the Samsung HMX–U10 can out muscle the Flip Mino HD.

Packing in 1080p and a 10–megapixel sensor, Sammy reckons the HMX–U10 is better than your average pocket cammie. That’s certainly a bold statement, with the likes of the Flip Mino HD and Kodak Zx1 leading the way. But there are certainly some mighty impressive features inside that 95g bod’.

We’re talking one button YouTube uploading and an animated thumbnail feature so you can pick out clips of your dog falling into a paddling pool easily. Plus the Samsung HMX—U10 comes with intelli-studio software for packaging it up ready for Harry Hill’s deliberation down at the You’ve Been Framed offices. And that’s all on top of HDMI connectivity.

It’s due to drop in September, a month after two new Samsung K–series cams. The Samsung K40 will come with SD support, while the K44 rocks a neat 16GB SSD. Both snaffle video in eyeball–friendly 720p.

Out September | £TBC | Samsung
