My BlackBerryMy BlackBerry is a brand new social network from RIM for owners of the hip holster mobile messengers, letting you rate apps on BlackBerry App World and chatter about how to get the most out of features that matter. Want to know when you can get it on the action? Read on, you BlackBerry-bashing social butterfly, you.

Social networks are in vogue these days, or at least RIM seems to think so, as it’s launching its own one, My BlackBerry, that lets savvy suits sign up and natter about anything and everything BlackBerry related.

The all-time top 20 BlackBerry apps

That’s all very nice, but there’s more than just nattering. The feature most BlackBerry addicts will be looking forward to in My BlackBerry is app review and discussion. Yes, reviews are currently included on the App World, but they’re tucked away and only visible in handfuls at a time. And well, since they have to be typed on a BlackBerry, they’re not very insightful either.

My BlackBerry should provide a more useful forum to find out whether that download you’ve got your eye on is a bit of alright, or a jumped-up waste of storage space.

Word on electric avenue is that My BlackBerry will launch at some point today, although at the time of writing it’s still stuck in pre-registration limbo, with nothing more than a video guide to its name.
