The Toshiba TG01 got its official unveiling at a swish central London venue last night. The 4.1-inch touchscreen beast is yours to grab on Orange from today. But before you kiss goodbye to your cold, hard happy paper, head this way and have a squizz at our TG01 hands–on photo fest.
Toshiba certainly hasn’t scrimped on the TG01′s screen. At an epic 4.1-inches, it dominates this Windows Mobile 6.1 cell, making even the HTC Touch HD look like a gadget Mini Me by comparison.
WinMo has been given a full-on overhaul, so getting round the traditionally tricksy OS is somewhat easier on the TG01. All that’s dome via the resistive touchscreen, which did throw up a few kinks when we had a brief play last night.
Flash is included, so the TG01 can lay claim to offering the whole worldwide web, your favourite, ahem, Adobe–friendly sites included.
The TG01 is out today on Orange, free on contract for £39.15 a month. Ours is due to drop through letterbox this very morning, so stay tuned for a full review very soon.
