Ocado iPhone appOnline supermarket Ocado has just opened the doors to its iPhone app, making it the first grocer in the country to let you load up your trolley from the touchscreen phone. Keep reading to find out how you can dodge the checkout with it!

The Ocado iPhone app, called “Ocado On The Go”, stashes all of Ocado’s 18,000 products, so you can carry out your weekly shop on the bus, and have it all arrive on your doorstep bagged the same day. No queueing with the nine to fivers balancing ready meals in their baskets on a Friday night needed, just make sure you’re home in time to meet the one hour time slot of your choice.

The all-time best 100 iPhone apps

In a savvy shopping move, the Ocado iPhone app stores all its products lists locally on your device, letting you shop even when you’re out of reception, so iPod touch owners needn’t worry about hunting down Wi-Fi hotspots.

We’ve got to give Ocado a hearty slap on the back for its iPhone app. It’s beaten all the big players like Tesco to the App Store (No, Tesco Finder doesn’t count), and almost killed off a major chore altogether. Don’t believe us? Download the Ocado iPhone app yourself, it’s free!
