The new Sonos CR200 remote control certainly looks a darn sight tastier than its hulking, click wheel–packing predecessor. And now the new touchscreen wonder has been slapped with a price tag. Read on to find out just how much you’ll need to pay for this slice of wireless hi–fi gadgetry.
The Sonos CR200 remote is set to tickle your wallet for $350 (£217) when it lands along with the new Sonos BU250 bundle later this summer. That’s unsurprisingly high, but it does come with stacks of features and style that gazump the old model.
For starters, that 3.5in touchscreen will be capacitive, with the CR200′s aluminium body meaning it tips the scales at 170g, compared to 360g for the old CR100 model. It’s thinner too, at 17.7mm.
That $350 price tag is for those currently packing a Sonos who want a Sonos CR200 to go with their old–school system. Hi–fi fanatics who want the new Sonos BU250 will have to stump up $290 (£180) for the Sonos CR200 though, according to the company’s official pre–order page. Surely though it’ll be thrown into a bundle at some point?
