We were smitten with the original Eee PC Seashell, and while the Asus Eee PC 1005HA Seashell looks like it’s been stocking up on the Pop Tarts in comparison, that extra thickness is a trade off for some serious productivity pluses.

For one, the VGA port on the Asus Eee PC 1005HA Seashell is now full size, and not stashed underneath, so you’ll be able to hook it up to a monitor more easily, and not hidden behind fiddly little plastic doors either. But best of all, the detachable battery on the Asus Eee PC 1005HA Seashell ups the longevity to 8 hours without the leccy – we tried it, and it’s up to the task, even with Wi-Fi on.
