The Asus Eee PC T91 netbook that thinks it’s a tablet is about to get an upgrade, with Asus shoving in a multitouch screen to make whizzing around on Windows without a keyboard a doddle. Intrigued? Read on to find out what we know.
When we first got our paws on the Asus Eee PC T91 back in May, we found that twisting, 8.9-inch touchscreen promising, but a little bit lacking, only accepting individual prods and pokes as it did, and not at the edges either.
Asus Eee PC T91 hands-on photo overload!
Now though, Asus is prepping several new versions of the Asus Eee PC T91 to quit our clamouring. As well as a version with GPS, 3G and digital TV, called the Eee PC T91go, it’s prepping a multitouch model, the Eee PC T91A, and it’s fueled by Windows 7.
We don’t know what additional controls a multitouch screen in the Asus eee PC T91 will enable yet, but we hope some easy zoom functions on photo programs will make the cut. Specs-wise though, we’re looking at the same crusty Atom 1.33GHz chip and 1GB of RAM, plus a 16GB SSD to mix things up a bit from the usual netbook menu. We’re chasing Asus UK for pricing and due date so keep your ear to the ground.
