Lunchtime LowdownIt’s almost the end of the week, but the best and biggest news in tech can’t tell Saturday from Tuesday. It doesn’t stop, it just keeps on rolling in, and we’ve got the latest right here for you in the lunchtime lowdown. Ready? Feast!

The big news was in mobile this morning, with an Apple patent just published showing fingerprint recognition and haptic feedback on an iPhone. We may have to wait a while for that, but we won’t have to wait long for the first powerful Tegra phones: we already heard one was due out this year, and now it seems Samsung and Motorola will be racing each other to market with their concoctions.

Elsewhere, in computing, EMTEC unveiled a seriously dinky desktop, the G Box, which could well be one of the world’s thinnest, while in gaming, Sony claimed that a UMD-less PSP Go was always the plan.

Finally, that Apple patent got us thinking: what other Cupertino tech have we seen designs for that haven’t materialised? Commence wishful thinking in our feature right here.
