The EMTEC Movie Cube P800 is a multimedia recorder with a whole lot of features for not a lot of money, and it’s just gone on sale. Read on to find out where you can pick one up, and for just how much.
The cats at EMTEC have been busy of late outing a super slim nettop, but now the latest EMTEC Movie Cube, the P800, has gone on sale to boot.
The quirky looking machine comes with a hard drive of up to 500GB you can detach and plug into a computer whenever you like (Even while recording to the in-built flash drive), allows you to stream web radio via Wi-Fi or ethernet, backup DVDs, record Freeview with twin tuners, and the EMTEC Movie Cube P800 even offers HDMI output.
The knock down price means the EMTEC Movie Cube P800 skimps on a few features though: there’s no MP4 or AAC support and you can’t sort MP3 files by tags, only filenames. Still, if you want something a little bit slicker looking than your regular DVR underneath your HDTV, it’s on sale now, with the 500GB version maxing out at around £280.
