Save the date: the Archos Android internet tablet will be unveiled on 15 September, according to the French PMP maker. If you were planning on scooping up that Windows 7 Archos tablet, you might want to hold off just a bit longer – read on to find out why.
We were disappointed when the Archos Android internet tablet failed to materialise at Archos’ Paris launch event last month, but the company hinted at a September release for the Google-fueled slate. We still don’t know too many definite details about the Archos Android internet tablet, but it’s believed to pack a 5-inch touchscreen, Flash support, a large hard disk (Possibly 500GB) and “premium smartphone features”, like HSUPA for fast mobile web browsing. The jury’s still out on Android on netbooks, but a small-form tablet could be just the ticket, so we’re off to circle the day on our calendar.
