The Palm Pre might not have enjoyed iPhone levels of sales, but the new smartphone is off to a strong start and has put the company in a better financial position than predicted. Palm reports a lower than expected loss for the fourth quarter, citing strong demand for the Palm Pre as one of the reasons for its changing fortunes.
