The Motorola Aura Celestial Edition is the mobile maker’s fancy-pants, super-pricey handset, but with a splash of a luna makeover. Why? To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the moon landing.
The Motorola Aura Celestial Edition is pretty much a Motorola Aura, but with a few luna extras, such as original NASA content from the moon landing, which includes video footage, stills and all our favourite audio snippets, including “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”, and “The Eagle has landed”.
Motorola actually provided the radio transponder aboard Apollo 11 that relayed the first words and visuals from the moon to Earth, so this is a fitting tribute to the achievement.
Available from July for a limited time, the Motorla Aura Celestial Edition doesn’t have a price yet, but it’s sure to be expensive. Unsurprisingly the first handset is going to Neil Armstrong. Check out what he’ll be getting in the gallery above.
