asus-eee-keyboardThe Asus Eee Keyboard, with PC built in under the QWERTY, will be available from the end of August. The PC-in-a-keyboard Asus Eee Keyboard represents another innovative move by Asus’ Eee range into new territory. But what’s it for?

According to John Swatton, Marketing Executive, quoted on Tech Digest, the Asus Eee Keyboard is a media centre for your living room. It streams HD content from its 32GB solid-state drive to any HDMI screen while you use the 5-inch touchscreen to do emails or Tweet.

No pricing yet, so it’s too early to tell whether the Asus Eee Keyboard QWERTY-that-is-also-a-PC-living-room-multimedia-centre will have quite the same computing impact as the Asus EeePC netbooks did for portable, cheap computing or the Seashell range is doing for portable-but-powerful, cheap computing.

Out August | £TBA | Asus (via Tech Digest)
