Video goggles have been doing the rounds for a few years now, but we bet you haven’t seen any that are specifically designed for the iPhone 3GS, have you? Here’s pair though – the Vuzix iWear AV310, which provide a wearable 16:9 display right in front of your peepers.
Worn like regular glasses but with considerably less fashion appeal, the AV310s generate a virtual 52-inch screen as seen from a distance of nine feet. Furthermore, the AV310 is compatible with new 3D video formats, which bodes well for the future as Hollywood and screen makers are about to begin a major push towards 3D content.
The glasses are compatible with a huge number of devices including portable media players, video cameras, laptops and mobile phones; basically anything with a S-Video output. This time Vuzix has also included an iPod connector that’s compatible with the new iPhone 3GS.
They weigh around 115g and offer approximately six hours of viewing from a single AA battery.
