Shazam’s just announced the release of a new version of its popular music finding app to take advantage of the iPhone OS 3.0 software with some handy new features.
Shazam users have already been taking advantage of the app’s talents, able to identify music from anywhere by holding their iPhones towards a music source as well as viewing music videos and managing their music library.
But now there’s more. Shazam customers can now share their tunes more effectively through the magic of Tweets letting their followers stay up to date with the latest tracks in their collection.
Users will also be able to send their tuneful tags as a postcard to mates to further share their musical taste, it’s great for discovering new music you wouldn’t have heard otherwise.
The new and improved app will also include a musical geo-tagging feature where users can see their tags appear on maps inside the service to remind listeners where they were when they first heard that foot-tapping track.
“We have listened and learned from our iPhone and iPod touch users over the past year and we are confident that the millions of Shazamers around the world will enjoy the enhanced functionality of this latest release.” Andrew Fisher, CEO of Shazam said.
