The Kogan photo frame isn't just for photos, it's rather handy at pulling up all your Twitter updatesThe Kogan photo frame isn’t just for photos, which is just as well, because we want our digital photo frames to be amazing convergence devices… and to be honest we can only bear looking at our mates’ mugs for so long. We’d rather spend that time finding out what our buddy Obama is up to. This Twitter and Facebook fancying digital photo frame looks just the ticket.

The Kogan digital frame displays photos but is just as handy at squeezing out Facebook and Twitter updates via Wi-Fi. It’s also got RSS support so you’ll never miss out on your latest news feeds while lounging around in your, er, lounge.

As for the Kogan digital photo frame’s photo skills, well, digital photo collections are displayed in full on its eight-inch 800×600 LCD screen. Users can email photos straight to the device where they can conjure up picture playlists or nab photos from their Flickr account.

The Kogan digital photo frame will be available in Down Under this July for around $169 AUD (£102). No word yet on a UK release, but you know the deal… we’ll let you know as soon as we know.
